"Gloria in excelsis Deo" is praise to the Lord God, "Glory to God in the highest." Far from our imaginings, our thoughts of what God may be like and Who He is, and our capacity to understand His majesty is His reality. He is in the heavens, above and in the sea, and woven throughout our very lives. Praise Him for the life He gives, and the gifts to live it. Some may perceive the shape of a bird's head in the clouds. For me, it is a representation of the Holy Spirit, from Matthew 3:16 in Scripture, at the moment of Jesus' baptism: "The heavens suddenly opened for him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down onto Him."
