Sun and light reveal the majesty of God's world during this spring day, when I painted this work en plein air at a world-renown surfing beach near my home in San Clemente. The sun was bright, colors vivid, and the sound of crashing waves in the background both soothed my brush and drove it forward. I was almost sad to close my easel when the painting was finished, and leave that most heavenly place. I will have to return.
