Painted for the 2024 26th annual Laguna Beach Painting Invitational, during an unusual bank of fog that hugged the coast for six days. Though the sun did not light up the scenery, I chose to celebrate the moods and mystery that the weather brought to the beach, and the spirit of enjoyment that the bathers on the beach were experiencing despite the coolness. I was reminded that even though the sun does not shine every day, there is always good to be found.
